Benefits
Work is a big part of our lives, but what happens outside of work is just as important.
That’s why we offer industry-leading parental leave, flexible work practices, and family support systems such as free counselling. We care for our employees at all stages of their life and work journeys.
For anyone wanting help to get to the next stage of their career, we have a very well-funded Employee Educational Fund (EEF).
For anyone wanting help to get to the next stage of their career, we have a very well-funded Employee Educational Fund (EEF). Permanent employees (have been employed for at least six months) of Fletcher Construction, their partners, and dependant family members can apply to the EEF to fund career-related tuition and programmes.
The EEF also supports tamariki. School-age children (eight years +) can access funding to take extra academic tuition, such as Kip McGrath, SPELD, Kumon or personal development programmes like Outward Bound, OPC, Spirit of Adventure, MIOMO. The EEF support tamariki to continue their studies when they leave high school. Funding is also available for help with children (five years +) attending school holiday programmes. For further information visit www.fbeducation.com
"The EEF has been instrumental in enabling me to study an MBA while working full time at the Eastern Busway Alliance. The support the EEF has provided has enabled me to pursue a comparatively expensive online MBA course from the University of Auckland that otherwise would have been out of reach. The EEF has been amazing to work with and has supported me at every step through my journey of further education."
– Jonathan Cashmore, Project Engineer

We offer our employees an industry-leading parental leave package.
We offer our employees an industry-leading parental leave package.
Our parental leave policy helps employees out when they're welcoming a new addition to their whānau, and eases the transition back to work. Modern families come in all forms, so our policy refers to primary and secondary carers rather than Mum or Dad.
Primary carers on parental leave will receive their full base pay for 26 weeks, or 50% of their normal pay for 52 weeks. Secondary carers receive two weeks of paid leave.
Aligned to our Flexible Working Policy, employees can request flexible arrangements at any time to support their return to work.
We acknowledge employee loyalty and commitment by giving long-serving employees an award after completing 10, 20, 30, 40 and 50 years' continuous current service with us.
