Congratulations to our Wellington team’s Drainage Leading Hand Maxwell To’omaga and Apprentice Drainlayer Noah Iona To’omaga for their nominations in the 2025 Porirua Young Employee Awards. The awards honour Porirua’s young professionals across various industries for their outstanding performance with an organisation, contribution to the success of their workplace, and commitment to personal growth and development.

On 19th March, employers, educators, organisations, families and the community celebrated the young candidates and finalists at the awards night hosted by Partners Porirua at Kai Tahi.

Wellington Regional Manager Ed Gane says Maxwell and Noah deserve the recognition. "Maxwell is an emerging junior Foreperson who shows amazing dedication and passion for both his work and his studies every day. Noah has only been with Higgins for less than a year, but he has already shown great leadership in assisting his team while advancing his studies.”

Construction Manager Adam Lyall says the team is proud of the achievement. “They are our exceptional young talents. This recognition highlights their hard work and dedication. They have a bright future ahead of them.”
